  1. 1. rushing 2. subdivide and listen to the people around you. Slow down the tempo and work back up to speed.

  2. 1. intonation: specifically b flat 2. We should work slowly through each measure. Play one note and hold it to make sure that you are in tune with the people around you. If there are certain notes that always sound out of tune, make a note in your music for next time.

  3. 1. Articulation. It's all running together 2. We need to pay attention to the accents like the ones in measures 10 and 37. Write the counts above the measure and then Figure out what beats the accents are on so we know when to play them.

  4. 1.) Intonation 2.) More stress on tuning in the beginning of class to make sure that the instrument itself is in tune. After that, when the class is playing, the tempo should be slowed so people will have enough time to think of finger placement and hold each note to truly concentrate on how the note should sound and matching it with those around you.

  5. 1. Dynamics. 2. Paying more attention to what is on the page may be helpful. The fortissimo at measure 32 sounded nearly the same as the piano at measure 1.

  6. 1) rushing. 2) take each measure one at a time. First start by clapping, then progress to plucking, then bowing it. Make sure to listen for the placement of your part to other sections. It will help you listen and fit your notes with the other sections.

  7. its all sounding kinda blurred together. We need to count and subdivide and learn the parts better so we know when to come in... not just guess when to come in(mainly from 16-32 and 41-52). Also the firsts need to play out more from 32-37.

  8. 1. We rush, a lot 2. When the cellists start at the beginning, our intonation and dynamics are in rough shape, and it continues throughout the entire song basically. And in measures 43-47, it doesn't sound like we are counting, so the sound is really off with the rest of the orchestra.

  9. 1. Lack of balance. 2. The piece is not fitting together nicely. Each section is using different styles. Using clean, crisp, short bow strokes would help balance the piece and prevent it from sounding choppy and messy.

  10. 1.Messy and not on tempo 2.We seem to forget to subdivide and count, so the piece sounds like it is not together. To fix the problem, we need to focus on listening to the people around us and paying attention to the counting in our individual parts. We also have to make sure to correct stylistic errors by creating separate and defined bow strokes.

  11. 1: Counting: A jumbling of notes at measure 46
2: There needs to be a sectional day in which each instrument could work on parts where counting is a key issue. ie measures 44-50 for cellos. We need to work up from clapping to bowing the parts. Possibly starting at a slower tempo to get the hang of it and then increasing the tempo as we progress.

  12. secoond violins rushed and played open "A's" in measures 24-32 to fix it we can clap the measures, subdivide, play each measure slowly and gradually increase speed.

  13. To help with the rushing, we should work individually every time we practice and slow down the tempo so that we can practice how to count more accurately. After doing this very often, we will be able to count more accurately faster. Also, the intonation was off, but that can also be fixed by slowing down when practicing individually.

  14. 1. Intonations- Mostly the higher notes.
    2. Before we play the passage, we need to get the notes in tune by playing each note and listing for the correct sound. This can be done as an individual or in a group.

  15. 1. Rushing 2. We can fix this by practicing more at home and slowing the tempo down. Also, we need to work on dynamics. There is hardly any variation in dynamics in the entire piece.
